AN ARIA-MANIFESTO TO THE IMAGINATION IN THE UNIVERSITY
Keywords:
Imagination, Higher Education Pedagogy, Complex Thought, Construction of KnowledgeAbstract
This manifesto is a political position statement in favor of the presence of imagination in the university. It invites university students’ imaginative manifestations in their academic productions, and understands that, to that end, it is necessary to move away from the insatiable stiffness present in the cult of repetition. It sustains the legitimacy of the social contribution of knowledge expressed in different textual genres for the construction of scientific knowledge, and the possibility of the expression of scientific knowledge in different textual genres. It proposes that imagination may be ontologically at the basis of knowledge construction.
