IMMANENCE AND KNOWLEDGE: BEYOND INTERDISCIPLINARITY, THE NETWORK AND THE RHIZOME
Keywords:
Networks. Rhizome. Interdisciplinarity. KnowledgeAbstract
This article aims to problematize the idea of interdisciplinarity, in order to point out its epistemological limits when considering its connection with the logic of disciplinary organization of knowledge. Departing from the contextualization of contemporary society in terms of its dynamicity, instability, indeterminacy and, also, of the multiple educational processes that take place in the different spaces-times that constitute it, we advocate a network dimension to think about knowledge instead of reducing it to a compartmentalization and hierarchization of school subjects. Thus, we maintain that despite its apparent innovative proposal, there is no way to defend interdisciplinarity without taking as its basic assumption and keeping intact the existence of school subjects, that is, the dimension that reduces knowledge to its organization into subject areas in delimited fields.Downloads
