SEQUENCE SHOT: A RESOURCE THAT APPROXIMATES THEATER AND CINEMA

Cinema is marked by the development of multiple forms of art adapted to the audiovisual language, from the visual to the performing arts. In film production, it is possible to find striking elements, for example, from the theatrical art. The figure of the actor and the scenic space is explored through resources such as shots, camera movements and framing. In this sense, this work proposes to analyze the effect of the long shot as a resource of approximation between theater and cinema, acting and filmic space. To this end, film clippings will be analyzed according to the approaches of Anne Ubersfeld in Para Ler Teatro (2005), and other important cinema theorists, such as Jacques Aumont and Andre Bazin, in order to allow a more accurate analysis between the relations of theater and cinema in scenes and performances.
