Lessons of foreign languages: of the practice of the translation the use of the educational technologies

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the history of translation in Brazil and in the world, highlighting the use of the dictionary for students and teachers of foreign languages L2; since the dictionary is one of the most accessible to the student L2 educational resources. Whereas, there is also other translation mechanisms; for the learning of L2, all of which are presented throughout the development of this study. Therefore, this article further elaborates on the use of educational technologies for teaching L2; highlighting what these technologies, and differing educational technologies of information and communication technologies TICs. The main objective of this research is to investigate whether the dictionary used in L2 classes, can be considered technology? Since its use is fairly frequent in foreign language classes. It is therefore of fundamental importance that L2 teachers know how to use not only the dictionary, but provide himself with other possibilities for L2 teaching, given the desire of students to become proficient in foreign languages. And the school is the primary means, so that students have access to the learning of a second and / or third, fourth, fifth foreign language; and for that L2 teachers need to be prepared for the use of new features, it is true that we live in the age of technology and information. To achieve all this, there was a literature search, as it should be; guided by several authors.
