The notions of "medium" and "mediality" bring a fruitful renewal to the way of conceiving the relationship between mediations and the self. They make it possible to show the decisive role of the medium, its nature and its specific forms of modeling, which lead to the recognition that the subject is constituted through practical actions with the mediums through which and in which subjectivity is constituted. Thus, the notion of "self-mediated practices" covers all forms of expression and language: spoken and written, photographic, visual, auditory, graphic, plastic, digital, bodily, gestural, scenic, among others. Therefore, reflection on "mediality", while broadening the field of practice, opens up training procedures and approaches that are more aware of the constitutive role of mediations in the processes of subject construction.
