This article explores the development of Greek Religious Architecture by presenting ten Doric peripteral hexastyle temples, built between the 5th and 2nd centuries BC. These temples were chosen for their variation in the proportion between the column base diameter and height, ranging from [1:6] to [1:7]. This range of proportions is significant because it aligns with the descriptions of Vitruvius in his On Architecture from 30-20 BC, specifically in book IV, chapter 1, paragraphs 6 and 8. The study examinesthe evolution of Greek religious architecture, highlighting how changes in column proportions can reflect cultural trends and influences over time. Additionally, historical information is provided for each of the selected temples, including construction dates, location, and context. The article also includes a selective bibliography to guide readers interested in furthering their knowledge on the subject. Furthermore, it presents photos of the studied temples. The dimensions and modules of the elevations and plans used in the construction of the temples are meticulously compiled, providing a comprehensive view of how these structures were designed and built. Finally, a glossary is provided to clarify the technical and architectural terms used throughout the article.
