The LOCKSS system, developed by Stanford University, is used as an archiving policy for materials made available by participating libraries and editorial productions. This system ensures the permanent preservation and restoration of the journal. RBEM also participates in the Cariniana Digital Preservation Network of IBICT, which provides preservation services for any journal in the Open Journal System in Brazil.
