O EFEITO DA FISIOTERAPIA DERMATO-FUNCIONAL NO ENVELHECIMENTO FACIAL CUTÂNEO: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA
Abstract
Introduction: As the aging process progresses, individuals' skin tends to become flaccid, with no elasticity, with reduced tonicity and their physiological and anatomical structure is impaired. As a result, many elderly people tend to have a low quality of life, mainly because they show a low self-esteem. With that, Dermatofunctional Physiotherapy has a strong performance within this context, with several resources, approaches and knowledge related to this scenario. Objective: To identify the effect that dermatofunctional physiotherapy has on facial skin aging. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review, with a descriptive approach. Using the techniques indicated by PICO and also according to the PRISMA methodological guidelines. Scielo, PubMed and PEDro databases were used. Having as inclusion criteria: scientific articles from primary data, which addressed the health or mental illness of elderly people in the context of the covid-19 pandemic. While the exclusion criteria were: articles that did not provide enough data to analyze and summarize the information, scientific papers presented at congresses and duplicate articles. Results and discussions: The positive effects of Dermatofunctional Physiotherapy are justified by the scientific evidence that supports and consolidates its broadest arsenal of approaches, techniques, resources and equipment in the most varied treatments about the facial skin, both in children, youth, adults and the elderly. . Given this, it is observed that the individual's skin can reflect a lot on their well-being and quality of life, so that physiotherapy has many tools that can enable and achieve good results, without necessarily having the influence of invasive resources or surgical. Final Considerations: The effect of dermatofunctional physiotherapy is extremely important in the quality of life of the elderly, essentially in what concerns the improvement of self-esteem and physical self-perception, thus leading to positive effects that underpin the practice of this aspect of physiotherapy, having as main resources applied to facial skin aging: radiofrequency, microcurrent, high frequency, electrolifting and carboxitherapy as the main physiotherapeutic resources that directly deal with skin disorders in the elderly.
