O leitor ideal: uma reflexão sobre a prática docente do professor de Língua Portuguesa

Abstract

This article is a reflection on the reader who is a teacher of Portuguese in elementary school. For this, the guiding question of this study is: which would be the ideal reader thinking about the Portuguese language teacher of the basic school? In order to come up with an answer, the reflection is directed to a theoretical look that starts in the literacy until the area of ​​the school literacy. Still looking for a consolidation in the reflection, an analysis is presented that includes excerpts from a participant observation made in a classroom of a class of the second year of high school, more specifically in Portuguese language classes. After all this reflective path, the results indicate that the ideal reader in the educational context of basic education is the unusual reader: the reader who prioritizes the attribution of meanings in a textual production. This reader is here called unusual because he is not commonly found, since the tendency of correcting and revising texts today is centered on an excessively normative and grammatical look.
