This paper, written by three different voices, offers reflections on how the imaginary place of speech of children's relationships can generate academics concerned with the conservation of artisanal fishing, and how this imaginary place of speech clearly relates to and distances itself from the explicit place of speech of artisanal fishermen, revealing, in the first person, how subjectivity and meanings are shaped by transgenerational relationships and impacted by the lack of public policies at the most different levels.
