Analysis, language and thought
notes on an intuition originating from Gottlob Frege

Training in philosophy often leads us to read great works of thought, not to list a set of loose ideas, but rather to recover their constitutive plot. Thus, reading becomes properly philosophical, so that, through it, we are invited to a dialogue, being provoked by the letter of the classic text whose meaning we seek to reestablish and perhaps overcome. This article therefore presents one of these possible invitations, namely, a program for reading the work of Gottlob Frege to be developed by the Empirism, Phenomenology and Grammar Studies and Research Group. The text anticipates lines of force characteristic of the unique analysis of language carried out by Frege, specifically thematizing the opposition between ordinary language and the project of a conceptography. As the invitation to a party does not replace the party itself, we have tried in the text only to emphasize or point out some aspects, especially of style, not intending, therefore, to replace the future reading of the texts nor to control their possibilities and eventual surprises.
