Education in Adorno
Auschwitz as a lesson and demand of a new moral imperative
Abstract
The present article aims to present the issue of Education and Emancipation in T. W. Adorno, discussing, in its core, his theory of semiculture, characterized by the collapse of cultural formation that is observed everywhere, even in the stratum of the cultures, not being exhausted because of the force impressed on the products of the cultural industry, allied to the ills of society, the inadequacies of the system and methods of education. In the end, we intend to take Auschwitz as a lesson and insist on a new moral imperative capable of blocking any attempt to repeat such experiences as the Holocaust.
