Journal history

Anãnsi: Revista de Filosofia was created in May 2020 from a collective initiative of students and professors of the Philosophy course of the Department of Education I of the State University of Bahia. The name “Anãnsi” is a tribute to the eponymous African hero. Legend has it that, living in a sad world due to the lack of stories, as they were all owned by the god of the sky Nyame, Anãnsi accomplished the feat of overcoming the challenges imposed by the god to conquer them, and then returned to the world to share them with men.
