AÇÕES AFIRMATIVAS PARA A EDUCAÇÃO MUNICIPAL DE CAMAÇARI, EM RESPOSTA AO ENFRENTAMENTO A PANDEMIA NO BIÊNIO DE 2020 a 2021
Abstract
The right to education is something that is still little sought after by Brazilian society, either due to a lack of knowledge or a lack of priority for these issues on the part of the public authorities. In this context, the right to education has become even more challenging during the pandemic period. Even with the help of technological devices, meeting educational demands remotely was a separate chapter in surviving Covid-19. The use of digital technologies was essential to minimize educational damage at this critical moment in world history. From this perspective, this work reports on the affirmative actions proposed by the municipality of Camaçari, in Bahia, which sought to minimize educational inequalities during the pandemic, especially aimed at the initial grades. The actions promoted in the biennium from 2020 to 2021 made remote teaching viable in the municipality in a way that was unprecedented in the public sector. The work methodology was mainly s review. As a result, this work revealed that the municipality adopted innovative measures in the initial grades of elementary education, providing quality education in a remote model, minimizing the effects of the pandemic on municipal basic education.
