PERCEPTION OF NURSING PROFESSIONALS FOR HIV / AIDS CARE
Abstract
Objective: to characterize the scientific production about the perception of nursing professionals regarding the assistance to people with HIV / AIDS. Method: This is an integrative literature review on the perception of nursing professionals regarding the care of people with HIV / AIDS. Developed in March 2019 at the Virtual Health Library (VHL), followed by the following databases: Lilacs, Medline and Bdenf, using the descriptors: Stress, HIV / AIDS and Nursing Care, associated through the operator. boolean AND. As inclusion criteria were used full-text articles in Portuguese and English, published from 2008 to 2018 that focused on the theme. Results: In relation to the years 2013 and 2016, there was a larger number of publications related to the theme, with 37.5% each. In 2011 and 2017, a smaller number of publications was obtained, with a value of 12.5% each, and through the research conducted in the VHL, it was noticed that the Brazilian Journal of Nursing had a larger number of publications, with 37.5%, and 60% of the studies were found in the MEDLINE database, 20% (2) in BDENF and 20% in LILACS. Conclusion: it was possible to observe the knowledge about the nursing problems that make it difficult for many professionals to care for the bearer, and the importance of a more focused and human look in the care directed to seropositive patients.
