PERCEPÇÃO DE “INSETOS” POR MORADORES DE ZONAS URBANAS DO MUNÍCIPIO DE PAULO AFONSO, BAHIA, BRASIL

O presente estudo tem por objetivo verificar o modo como os moradores dos bairros Jardim Aeroporto e Siriema (Paulo Afonso, Bahia, Brasil) percebem e classificam os insetos, registrando-se a construção do domínio semântico etnozoologico “inseto”. Os dados foram obtidos de outubro a novembro de 2007, por meio de entrevistas com 25 pessoas de cada bairro visitado. Utilizou-se entrevistas semiestruturadas com homens e mulheres com idade variando de 13 a 6 anos. A análise resultou no registro de 54 animais sendo 30 insetos e 24 categorizados como “insetos”: Acari, Crustacea, Scorpiones, Aranae, Chilopoda, Amphibia, Reptilia, Ave e Mammalia. Os insetos citados pertencem as seguintes ordens: Anoplura, Blattariae, Coleoptera, Diptera, Orthoptera e Siphonoptera, com destaque para as baratas (Blattariae), como sendo um animal “desagradável e nojento. Também foi mencionado o uso de insetos como fonte de remédio e alimento. Os resultados apontam que a percepção que os entrevistados têm sobre “insetos” decorre do grau de afetividade e pela utilidade que eles apresentam.Downloads
