A Formação do professor de língua inglesa e seu papel como docente

The training of English Language teachers has been a theme widely discussed, because it is part of an important ally the process of instruction of future citizens and professionals capable of assuming them as they are and also have more opportunities in today's competitive global scenario. The aim of this article is to show the importance of a foreign language teacher (LE) in the course of their profession, emphasizing its social function and continuing education in his career. The work was guided by literature searches of several authors and researchers. The result obtained in this research shows which factors may influence in the formation of a self-critical teacher-researcher, able to work in building a more humane and egalitarian society.
