Tecnologias colaborativas no ensino e aprendizagem da produção textual em língua estrangeira

This study aims to give an overview on the use of technology in the teaching of foreign languages from the earliest to the present time, emphasizing the collaborative technologies and highlighting the social networking sites. The guiding assumption of this research was that by investigating a relevant corpus of literature in the specialized area, it would be possible to gather information on the characteristics of these sites, as well as the potential and the challenges of their use in promoting the development of text production skills in the teaching and learning of English as a foreign language. Since it was developed based solely on literature sources, this is a Research Secondary Sources of qualitative nature, which is added to other studies already developed on this subject, and which provided an opportunity to acquisition, update and enhance of knowledge concerning the new information and communication technology (ICT) applied to the teaching of foreign languages, paving the way to broaden and reframe the use of those resources.
