Landscapes of fear: an analysis on the fear in Romanticism considering imagistic elements in Frankenstein

This study aims to analyze some imagistic references evoked by Mary Shelley in Frankenstein and their possible connections with fear in the sociocultural period of Romanticism and its visual representation in movie adaptations. It is considered that understanding the imagistic representations of such an important work for world literature can help enrich the reflection on the literary period in question, as well as contribute to instigate discussions between text and image, landscape and literature, book and movie adaptation.
