Abstract

Socio-economic dynamics, influenced by government policies, open up space for NGDOs and cooperation partners to participate in Mozambican economic development, providing more well-being for citizens. This article analyses the role of cooperators in local economic development by validating the interventions that contribute to it. This is a qualitative and quantitative study based on bibliographical and documentary research, together with structured interviews. The results indicate that the active programming of NGOs, and in particular the IOM in Cabo Delgado, is visible through interventions in the areas of border management and strengthening through the construction of infrastructure and other mechanisms.
