Abstract

In this article entitled: The contribution of informal trade in economic and social transformations in rural areas in Inhambane Province. (1990-2014), I describe the main social and economic transformations in the rural environment of some districts of the province of Inhambane, namely, Homoine, and Massinga, originated by the practice of informal trade of women to South Africa. aspects such as the motivation to practice this activity, the main factors influencing its practice, the activity's contribution to economic and social transformations in the rural areas of the studied areas and above all the change in the pattern of relations between the two countries, which historically they have been marked by contracts for the gold mines since the end of the 19th century. For its development, i resorted to methods such as direct observation, life history.
