COOPERATIVAS DE CRÉDITO VERSUS BANCOS COMERCIAIS: A OPÇÃO POR UMA COOPERATIVA NA HORA DE REALIZAR UM EMPRÉSTIMO
Abstract
This paper demonstrates the results of the comparison between the Cooperativo de Crédito system and the Banking system with emphasis on releasing loans in the city of Salvador among
years from 2016 to 2022. The research was motivated to identify the competitive advantages of Credit Cooperatives in relation to Commercial Banks in the city of Salvador referring to the release of loans between the years 2016 to 2022. The contribution of this research takes place with the recognition of the positive and negative points of the Cooperatives of Credit and Commercial Banks together with proposals for interventions for Cooperatives of Credit. The methodology used was exploratory research with the application of a questionnaire in a Credit Union and disclosure in digital media - through messaging application and social networks - for Cooperativa employees and employees and/or former employees of commercial banks. In view of the results found, it was found that Credit Cooperatives seek to differentiate themselves from Banks by making associate customer, cooperative member and owner of the cooperative. Finally, it is concluded that the option for a Credit Union at the time of making a loan brings more benefits to the members through lower interest rates, constant training for employees, greater autonomy for relationship managers, among other benefits cited in the survey.
