O PANORAMA CIENTÍFICO INTERNACIONAL DO ESG ENTRE 2012 E 2022: UM ESTUDO BIBLIOMÉTRICO

Abstract

ESG represents the integration of social, environmental and governance issues in organizational management. This topic is gaining more and more prominence due to market and regulatory pressure, demand from investors and consumers, as well as the unpredictable and frightening socioeconomic context. Thus, the present research aimed to map, through a bibliometric study and systematic review, the international scientific panorama of ESG between 2012 and 2022. From the analyzes carried out, it was possible to infer that scientific research on ESG has been growing exponentially in the last 10 years, with substantial growth in 2022, indicating an increasing trend for the coming years. Furthermore, other characteristics of the panorama of ESG studies were highlighted, such as its strong relationship with the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility, the US leadership in the number of publications on the topic and the predominance of an empirical approach to the analysis of ESG in organizations.
