O CONSELHO MUNICIPAL DE SAÚDE DE CAMAÇARI NA SOLUÇÃO DAS DENUNCIAS RECEBIDAS PELA OUVIDORIA SUS
Abstract
This article examines the performance of the Municipal Health Council of Camaçari, Bahia, in resolving complaints from 2019 to 2020, received by the SUS Ombudsman and the Council itself. In a post-redemocratization context in Brazil, where public health's civil society participation was strengthened by the 1988 Constitution, this study highlights the importance of these councils in transparency and health policy implementation. Adopting a multidimensional approach, it seeks to assess the effectiveness of these bodies in handling SUS complaints. The qualitative methodology used includes document analysis such as meeting minutes and Council reports, as well as relevant legislation. The results aim to provide a detailed understanding of the role of Municipal Health Councils in overseeing and continuously improving local health services, thus supporting the democratic and participatory management of Brazil's public health system.
