THE HEALTH RECEPTION MODEL ADOPTED BY A FAMILY HEALTH UNIT AND THE INFLUENCES OF THE NEW CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC: AN EXPERIENCE REPORT

Abstract

Aim: The objective of this work is to report the experience with the health care model adopted in the family health unit of a medium-sized municipality in the State of Bahia, before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: This is a descriptive study, from the perspective of a former resident in family health, after a few months of discussions about the adopted host modality, following the guidelines described in the PNH (2003) and holding meetings with the health team to design the user's itinerary in the unit. Results: With the discussions, we implemented new models of reception at different times, namely: reception by a reference team; mixed reception; and currently, mixed reception with risk classification. Conclusion: Welcoming can and should be done in any area and any professional in the unit, so it was overcoming the adversities and dodging the mishaps that arose, especially when we worked for our sumptuous SUS arising from a popular struggle, that we managed to implement a welcoming that would meet the needs of the population in that troubled period.
