Abstract

This article aims to evaluate the impact of human development policies in Angola, especially with regard to education, health and quality of life of the population. To this end, we analyzed data relating to the dimension of education, measured by the education index, which takes into account the average years of study of the adult population and the expected years of study of school-age children. Furthermore, we also consider the health dimension, measured by life expectancy at birth, which are essential conditions for the country's post-war social and economic development. The results obtained reveal that human development policies implemented in Angola have not been effective in improving the population's quality of life, especially in rural areas where access to education and health is still limited.
