ADAPTATION OF USERS FROM A SECTOR OF THE INSTITUTE OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND WATER RESOURCES (INEMA) TO THE ELECTRONIC STATE INFORMATION SYSTEM (SEI)

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the adaptation of users of an INEMA sector to the SEI system. The system is defined as an electronic tool for controlling administrative processes with the purpose of making activities in public institutions more efficient. For this study with a qualitative approach, bibliographic and documentary research and field research were carried out in the sector. The implementation of an information system can be understood as a process of organizational change, as it has the potential to interfere in various aspects of the organization. To verify whether there was cooperation or resistance to the implementation of the system, a questionnaire was applied to public servants in the sector. Among the results found, it was identified that most respondents adapted well to the system. It can be seen that there is cooperation to the implanted change. In this sense, when users are in favor of organizational change, goals and expected efficiency tend to be achieved.
