Dossier proposal guidelines

Procedures for proposing/organizing a thematic dossier in Práticas e Cuidado: Revista de Saúde Coletiva (Practices and Care: Journal of Public Health - PC-RESC) from 2021 onwards

  • Dossier proposals should be submitted to the official PC-RESC e-mail (pcrescuneb@gmail.com) containing: a) the title of the dossier; b) a list of the organizers, with their respective titles, institutional links and contact e-mails; c) the objective/subject of the call;
  • In the proposal, it is necessary to send a suggested objective/sentence of up to 300 words which, if approved by the PC- RESC Editorial Team, will be presented in the public call for submissions (announced on the news portal https://revistas.uneb.br/index.php/saudecoletiva/announcement), along with the deadline for submissions for the purpose of composing the respective dossier;
  • It is suggested that the organization of the dossier be shared by up to three (3) proposers (preferably with a doctorate and, in specific cases, a doctorate/master's degree), identifying their respective institutional affiliations (preferably from different institutions/regions/countries).
  • Proponents/organizers will be jointly responsible for editing the dossier with the PC-RESC Editorial Team;
  • In order to guarantee the speed and commitment of the evaluation process of the submissions, the organizers should indicate two or three professors/researchers (with a doctorate or in the process of a doctorate) to act collaboratively as external reviewers for each submission (who must be registered or register on the PC-RESC portal (https://revistas.uneb.br/index.php/saúdecoletiva/user/register), with their respective contacts; We emphasize the importance of institutional, regional and/or national diversification of the nominations;
  • The organization must commit to publicizing/inviting submissions to the Please note that the invitation is not a guarantee of publication, as the texts will be peer-reviewed;
  • The proposed dossier may publish up to 15 (fifteen) manuscripts (it is suggested that it have at least five publications); in any other situation, approved productions may be forwarded to the other sections of the journal;
  • Authors must submit their text on the PC-RESC platform (https://revistas.uneb.br/index.php/saudecoletiva/about/submissions), after registering, indicating the full names of all authors, with their respective e-mails, Lattes CV (for Brazilian authors) and ORCID (for all authors);
  • It is important that the organization, together with the PC-RESC Editorial Team, seek to compose the dossier with as many different institutional, regional and national links as possible, especially different from the links of the dossier organization and the PC-RESC managing institution;
  • All regulations relating to submission and evaluation will follow the guidelines for authors of the PC-RESC (https://revistas.uneb.br/index.php/saudecoletiva/about/submissions).
