Data were organized and analyzed in Microsoft® Office Excel 2010 spreadsheets, and absolute and relative frequency calculations were performed. Results: The present study showed 35,053 cases of physical violence reported in the Information System of Notifiable Diseases, in the state of Bahia between 2013 and 2017, with a predominance of females (66.7%), between the age group of 20-29 years (23.9%), of mixed race (42.7%), performed by a spouse (14.1%), occurring at home (35.7%), with unknown education and suspected alcohol use mostly. Victims were referred to hospital (12.9%) and were discharged (24.6%). Conclusion: The amount of underreported data indicates inadequate completion, which makes a more qualified analysis of the variables difficult, preventing the victims' profile from being better described. The complete and adequate notification of the data makes it possible to know the profile of violence, thus seeking to prevent and plan quality care for these victims. Training of health professionals is suggested, with a view to minimizing underreporting and possible underreporting, demonstrating clarification on the negative impact of inadequate filling.
