MENTAL HEALTH, DEPRESSION AND PRIMARY CARE: AN EXPERIENCE REPORT OF A FAMILY AND COMMUNITY MEDICINE RESIDENT

Abstract

Objective: The present work aims to report and rescue the experience lived during the first year of residency, using the experience report method. Method: Bringing reflections about the experiences during the care process of a black woman, in a process of major depressive episode, in a family health unit in Camaçari - Bahia. Results: Being able to reflect on the power of the bond and tools such as the clinical method centered on the person in the practice of the expanded clinic. Conclusion: This experience had the power to transform my clinical practice inherited from the academy and bringing new perspectives on the doctor-patient relationship and the therapeutic process in the reality of Family Medicine and Counseling.
