About the Journal
FOCUS AND SCOPE
Práticas e Cuidado: Revista de Saúde Coletiva (Practices and Care: Journal of Public Health - PC-RESC) (e-ISSN: 2675-7591) is linked to the Area of Collective Health, the Multiprofessional Health Residency Program and the Professional Master's Degree in Collective Health (MEPISCO) of the Department of Life Sciences (DCV) of the State University of Bahia (UNEB), Campus I, Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. The journal is published on a continuous basis and is primarily aimed at disseminating scientific work that contributes to the field of Collective Health and related areas.
PC-RESC will publish texts in Portuguese, English and Spanish such as: original articles; literature reviews (systematic, integrative, narrative or meta-analysis); theoretical essays, experience reports and letters to the editor. Papers submitted to the journal must not have been previously published or submitted concurrently to another journal.
PEER REVIEW PROCESS
Papers submitted to Práticas e Cuidados: Revista de Saúde Coletiva (Practices and Care: Journal of Public Health - PC-RESC), exclusively by registering on the https://www.revistas.uneb.br/index.php/saudecoletiva portal, will be analyzed by at least two reviewers from the editorial board with expertise in the area of the manuscript. The journal's editorial board may request the opinion of ad hoc consultants from institutions other than the one where the author is based,
The manuscript will be reviewed and subject to editorial standardization. If it does not comply with the journal's standards, the authors will have 10 days to return it. Once the changes and standardizations have been made, the manuscript must be resubmitted via the system. If this stage is not completed, the submission process will be closed and the manuscript will be archived. If the manuscript is not accepted, the author(s) will be sent a justification by the Editorial Team. The content of the texts submitted is the sole responsibility of the author(s).
If in this first stage there is no need for editorial changes or after the corrections have been sent, the manuscript will be sent for evaluation. The reviewers will have a deadline to issue an opinion which may be: (i) approved without revisions;
(ii) approved subject to revisions; (iii) submitted to a new round of evaluation; (iv) rejected. Authors must make all the required corrections, which must be marked in red in the text (without using the change control tool), and submit the file within 15 days.
