The art of storytelling on the newspapers – chronicles as a way to exchange experiences

Abstract

This essay aims to present the artisan form of communication which define the chronicles by Paulo Leandro, a journalist who writes about sports on the Correio*, a newspaper based in Bahia. The approach analyzes chronicles written by the journalist and the appointments made are based on The Storyteller: Reflections on the Works of Nikolai Leskov by Walter Benjamin, in which they are approached the narrative’s features and the particularity as an artisanal communication, the discussion about aesthetic communication by Herman Parret and the Wolfgang Iser’s studies about fiction.
