Weaving learnings about the History of the Independence of Brazil in Bahia

Abstract

The present work brings reflections about the experience of producing an RPG game about the Independence of Brazil in Bahia, the game "RPG 2 de Julho" elaborated in the scope of the doctoral thesis defended in 2018 in the Doctorate in Education and Contemporaneity by the University of the State of Bahia (UNEB). Although the theme presents in its trajectory a vast academic bibliography, we realize that in the scope of basic education little has been worked didactically on the subject. In this way, we seek the diffusion of information and concepts about independence from a playful approach to the games of representation. The popular participation in independence, the objectives of its participants, the social, economic and political context of Bahia in the period of independence can be visited through the simulation of roles that corroborate for an active and engaging learning. We intend to address in this article the fabrics made for the elaboration of the RPPG 2 de Julho, the way with the pedagogical knowledge is intertwined with the historical knowledge for the production of a didactic material that has the purpose of teaching history.
