Study of narrative space in Brazilian children's works of the author Daniel Munduruku

Abstract

It is believed that, in the arduous responsibility of helping children find meaning in life, growth experiences and the influences of their representatives or caregivers emerge considerably. After that, there is the literature aimed at this audience that, by going beyond the limits of superficiality and automatism, appears as a valuable ally. The fact is that instigating reading is a generalized challenge and if the choice - among so many titles offered - seems like a difficult task, indigenous authored books comprise a wealth of possibilities, bringing plots that broaden perspectives and change what is traditionally imposed on children. They go through abundant themes - portrayal of values, traditions, ancestry, memory, myths, legends - contributing to the development of individuality and conscience. They have a significant substance and do not take away the depth required in the development of this step. Furthermore, both the work with literature and the intense engagement figure at the core of the actions of most of these writers. His productions, which started to be seen not too long ago, show the relevance of investigating the faraway spaces rescued in favor of the society transformation. In this interpretative walk, researching the narrative space in brazilian children's works by indigenous authorship emerges as the central theme of this article while it talks about Daniel Munduruku.
