Abstract

The study aimed to conduct a systematic literature review to investigate the characteristics of scientific production on logistics costs and identify gaps, offering suggestions for future research. A total of 28 articles were identified in the Scopus, Web of Science and Spell databases from 1994 to 2022. Results point to the need for further research on planning logistics costs, and it is believed that they will benefit researchers and professionals. The study contributes to academia, the market, and society. Among the contributions, it is worth highlighting the effort to bring together a set of different perspectives on logistics costs, focusing on models and strategies that can help companies ensure their performance in an increasingly competitive market.
