Children´s play in different historical-cultural contexts during the Covid-19 pandemic

This work is part of a research on childhood and pandemic that was carried out in 2020 and 2021 by the Observatório da Infância e Educação Infantil of the Universidade do Estado da Bahia. The field research with a qualitative approach is fundamental in the Sociology of Childhood and was carried out in the territories of Sertão Productivo and Velho Chico, in Bahia, with children aged 3 to 7 years and their families. The objective was to study children from Early Childhood Education in different contexts of play, specifically the contents of the games used, the places to play and the partnerships. With the results of the research, we evidence the fact that children build play as a way of building for a pandemic and the relationships they establish with the place.
