Experience report on meetings with mature women living in climacteric

Abstract

Describe the experience of a university extension project that deals with the climacteric theme with women in health units. It is an experience report about the experience lived in an extension project. It was possible to identify a fragile knowledge about climacteric, menopause and its physiological aspects; nevertheless, it was also noteworthy that the public has many doubts about climacteric / menopause and crave information related to the phase of life they face. Knowing about the experience and the representations that the climacteric has for women, helps in the construction of a knowledge that will positively influence the quality of life of women, which allows women to go through the stage in a more peaceful way, experiencing healthier and more pleasant, with its symptoms alleviated.
