Abstract

This paper is part of the research carried out in the Scientific Initiation Program developed at the “Observatório da Infância e Educação Infantil” (ObEI) of “Universidade do Estado da Bahia/DEDC XII”. The research on Childhoods in the context of the pandemic, sought to understand the experiences of children in Early Childhood Education with digital technologies. The activities carried out in the research were the bibliographic survey on the subject, analysis of documents from the “Sociedade Brasileira de Pediatria”, as well the guiding documents of Early Childhood Education and reports produced from research by the ObEI in the years 2020 and 2021. The study points to an increase in the use of screens by children in the last two years, specifically the use of cell phones, including for activities proposed by schools.
